But most people don't know how to do it. There's a way to warm up that will prep the body for exercise while protecting it from injury.

Self massage

This is done with a foam roller or a lacrosse ball.
You would roll on the areas of your body that you intend to workout.
This sends a signal to your brain to decrease tightness & increase range of motion.

Dynamic stretching

These are stretches that you do for reps.
Each stretch is held for 2 seconds & they're done while moving.
These help you increase your range of motion while activating your nervous system for the workout ahead.

Muscle activation

Muscle activations are quick bodyweight exercises you use to target the muscles you intend to use.
This helps increase mind to muscle connection while warming up the intended muscle.

Nervous system wake up

We want to put our bodies in a fight or flight mode wake up our nervous system.
You can either do plyometrics or power based exercises to do this.
An easy exercise to do would be jumping jacks.

Do these in a circuit without any rest to increase heart rate & body temperature.
