But, changing habits can be hard and overwhelming.
It's easier for you to step into a new identity than create new habits and behaviors.
As you change your identity, your habits and behaviors will change. -

• Self-perceptions
You hold about yourself.
To create lasting change, you should focus on shaping your identity rather than solely relying on willpower or setting goals. -
You need to adopt a new identity that aligns with your desired behavior.

True change will occur when you see yourself as the person already engaging in the desired behavior.
It's the difference between:
• I want to write
• I am a person who writes
Be a person who writes. -
The more you repeat a behavior,

The more you become the identity that's associated with the behavior.
The chosen identity guides the behaviors,
And, the repeated behaviors reinforce the chosen identity.
It's a virtuous cycle that starts with your chosen identity. -

The 3 Alarms are a way to segment your life across the 3 important domains:
• Health
• Wealth
• Relationships
The goal is to have you live a life where you experience success over the long-term without sacrificing your health and relationships. -
Set an alarm for 3 different times of the day and label the alarms how you want to show up.

The label is your best-self identity and should have values tied to how that identity behaves.

2. Being a good Dad

1. Intentionality drivers
2. Help you make the right choices
3. Prompt reflection on your behaviors
When the alarm goes off, you need to become the champion tied to that identity.
You need to show up as you intended. -

Each night, as you plan the next day, write down how you'll show up as Your Best Self when each of your three alarms goes off.
