You shoulder hurts because you don't know how to use it

Not like it comes with an owners manual
Here's a quick lesson
The shoulder (glenohumeral) joint is not on the side of your body
It's actually angled forward
Let's look at see why that's importantšš½ pic.twitter.com/WkhVbblvWA -
The shoulder has a LARGE range of motion

that joint angled forward means the circle your shoulder makes is in front of you
NOT to the side
The circle to the side needs motion from other joints that YOU may not have

This is because of the scapular plane
— Bengal THE Jungleās Physio (@BowTied_Bengal) March 29, 2023
It's a RANGE where the shoulder muscles are most efficient
most shoulder pain occurs OUTSIDE this plane
You're either
-making muscles work harder than they need to
-using a range of motion you don't have
-both
Its not bad, just painful pic.twitter.com/KNvicdEBdk -
Remember this with tasks

- out to the side
- across your body
and modify them so they don't hurt so much
Same with
-pressing with elbows flared out
-lateral raises out to the side
those usually always hurt, or you have to go so light they do nothing pic.twitter.com/05NwkAu2Mc -
oh and we made an owners manual https://t.co/SPa4V49h8z
