Just finished the last three episodes of Ted Lasso and have been weeping and laughing for almost four hours. I was going to take a train out to Richmond on my last day in London to see the sights where it was filmed, but my depression (TMI) was just too much 1/

Having the opportunity to watch it here, though, in England itself and for many things that happened in the last three episodes to happen which so exactly mirrored my own life journey was just the most special thing I could've asked for. Like a gift from God "herself" 2/

I told myself that if I didn't like the season, I was going to write "I'd never say something bad abt me old club", but what a blessing the whole show was for me. What it meant to me during such a difficult time in my life is just beyond what I could've possibly asked for 3/

I would like to thank personally @VDOOZER and @jasonsudeikis from the deepest parts of me. The cover of my phone has been Ted Lasso for two years now. And he is in a framed photograph on my wall, the John Wooden pyramid in my bathroom, and the Believe poster above my office door pic.twitter.com/4VQ1dfDGCE

Which likely sounds obsessive, but that's because the spoke, but especially @jasonsudeikis character, to the deepest parts of me at a time when I badly needed it, wanted it, and am grateful for it. 5/

I suspect I won't watch the show on repeat the way I did that first year in 2021 when it first came out -- over and over and over and over, I felt like it was just impossible that a story could so deeply get inside me, and just be a lifeline for me and a Northstar like that 6/

But that is because I was haunted before that show came out, and through friends, family, a lot of therapy, and yes, that show, that show reversed a curse. I am truly grateful. Truly grateful. I probably used that show in some weird way to start making a new life 7/

One that was inside economics but outside economics too at the same time, letting go of some things, embracing other things, saying goodbye to certain people, holding tight to a handful of people. I am not quite yet at a place to forgive some harms and some people 8/

But, I know that that is on me, and that is going to be what I keep working towards -- just not today. Not yet, anyway. And boy did it ever mean the world to me when Ted said to Beard and others that You've Got Mail was not nearly as god as Sleepless in Seattle 9/

In my opinion the top three romantic comedies of all time are in this order:
— scott cunningham (@causalinf) June 4, 2023
1. Sleepless in Seattle
2. Pretty Woman
3. When Harry Met Sally
And then I think we can all agree to disagree on whatever comes next. For him to actually say that out loud, though? 10/ -
Whew boy -- I know that there is a benevolent Universe that knows me by name and adores me that it gave me Ted Lasso to verbalize all things in my heart and dreams and all I hoped to be and all I feel inside, including that. Just feels too impossible to be true 11/

So thank you Bill and Jason for that wonderful team of young men, those four coaches, their amazing owner, The Diamond Docks, Keely Fucking Jones, and the fans of AFC Richmond. You, the actors and actresses, the people in the writing team, and everyone at @Apple are good ppl 12/
