The year is 1596.

Korean Admiral, Yi Sun-sin, is sitting in prison for disobeying orders.

A messenger arrives at his cell to ask for Yi’s help.

The Japanese are attacking their homeland with 300 warships.

Yi is the only one experienced enough to give them a chance against an enemy 30x their size.

He's never lost any of his 23 battles,

but he's also never been so outnumbered.

His only chance to save his nation, is to lead the enemy into waters where he can win.

He finds a spot that has:
• Narrow waters so his enemy can’t surround him
• Tides shifting every 3 hours - something his enemy doesn’t know

The Japanese take the bait and meet him for what they believe will be a quick victory.

Yi pushes forward only to realize all his other ships have stayed behind, afraid of certain death.

Yi is on his own, charging at the wall of 300 Japanese warships in front of him.

Fighting for the survival of Korea.

His cannons fire and the first few ships fall.

Then, as Yi planned, the tides turn against the Japanese.

The water pushes the enemy back into the narrowing canal.

They find no room to move and their ships crash into each other.

Ship after ship sinks.

Yi’s team see the ships stuck in the canal and his 12 ships join the fight.

They fire their cannons into the enemy ships.

Each sinking ship makes the team realize:

Their one-in-a-million odds of winning might come true.
