9 hacks to crush your food addiction and finally start dropping fat

1. Remove temptations.

You can't eat it if it isn't there.
Stop buying junk and stop filling your cupboards and fridge with it.
Have words with your family if they're the ones bringing it into the house. Keep it out of sight. -
2. Plan your meals.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
A good day can go bad in the evening because there's nothing to eat that fits your goals.
Then you buy cheap convenience stuff or order a takeaway.
Here's how to prevent this happening 👇 -
3. Track what you eat.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
Tracking what you eat will keep you mindful of your overall calorie intake.
When you see how many calories you're about to pound in 30 seconds, it will give you pause.
Having targets to stay within in order to see fat loss will help you stay on track. -
The best app for this is MacroFactor.

Top tip:
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
Plan out everything you're going to eat for the day, then track it ahead of time, either in the morning or the night before.
Then you can see if you're going to be on track or not, and can rework the plan if needed.
Better than flying by the seat of your pants. -
4. Get better sleep.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
Poor sleep will affect the hormones cortisol and grehlin.
This will increase hunger and cravings.
If you need to sleep better, tell your kids (I joke).

5. Establish routines.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
Developing a regular eating schedule can help you avoid impulsive snacking.
I find starting eating later helps.
I eat later meals as I'm able to ignore hunger more in the morning.
I save 50% of my calories for the evening meal, so I am full all evening. -
6. Avoid stress.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
Easier said than done.
However, stress leads to using food (especially junk foods) as a coping mechanism.
Some ways you can avoid extra stress are developing better time management skills and learning to say "no" to unnecessary extra tasks & responsibilities. -
7. Identify triggers.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
Overeating often goes hand in hand with other activities.
Watching TV in the evening is one.
Drinking alchohol is another.
Identify the situations where you overeat and avoid being in them or replace them with something else. -
8. Replace with healthy habits.
— Rob - Nothing Barred Fitness (@Rob_NBF) April 16, 2023
If you destroy your diet in front of the TV every evening, do something different.
Schedule evening workouts or get outside and walk (ideally with your partner who is on your side & supportive). -
9. Get accountability & inspiration.
