Love forces you to learn more, to grow more. That’s why a lot of people sabotage their relationships. The moment they start feeling uncomfortable they believe that a relationship shouldn’t that way, that it should feel easy at all times, that your partner should bring you peace

Your partner can contribute to your peace, but real love will force you to grow and evolve, and that doesn’t always feel comfortable. No one is born knowing how to do relationships, how to embrace real love, how to love someone else in a way the feels nurturing for them

Believing that real love means that it should always feel light is a trap. It is stopping you from growing and learning, from expanding your heart and building something beautiful and meaningful with your partner

Of course that a relationship should feel peaceful as well. You can’t ignore the signs that tell you you’re not being respected, the actions that hurt you, you can’t ignore that your emotional needs are not being met. But you need to know that love isn’t just rainbows

Love should feel sweet, passionate, supportive, peaceful, magical, expanding, fun. Real love will also feel uncomfortable sometimes. The right person won’t stay quiet when something is hurting them, because they care, because they want to stay with you

When someone is okay with everything it is because they don’t care. That will always feel peaceful. If your partner is telling you that some things need to change, if you know they love you, then it’s is not because they want *you* to change. Only what’s damaging the relationship

If your partner invalidates the things that hurt you, because in their eyes they can’t see why or they’re used to other people being okay with some things you’re not okay with, then they will start believing that the relationship isn’t bringing them peace. It’s not you, it’s them

That’s when love stops being enough in relationships and that’s why sometimes people confuse real love with peace. Sometimes peace is blocking your growth, sometimes peace is avoidance. If you choose that peace you can’t choose a relationship where the love was real
