🔷 Don't Feel Sorry For Yourself
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Self-Pity is destructive.
Focusing on negative thoughts wastes time and makes you miserable.
Express gratitude in your journal (or say it out loud) and you'll appreciate what you have and see the positive side of life. -
🔷 Don't Give Away Your Power
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
If other people can make you angry or guilt you into doing something, they have power over you.
Preserve your power by setting boundaries and communicating them clearly. -
🔷 Don't Dwell On The Past
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Ruminating about the past prevents you from moving forward.
Reflection is good, but too much is destructive.
Accept that you can't change the past and move forward.
Focus on your future. -
🔷 Don't Repeat The Same Mistakes
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
After you make a mistake ask yourself:
• What did I do wrong?
• What can I do better?
• What can I do differently?
Learn from your mistakes to avoid making them again. -
🔷 Don't Fear Change
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Without change, you're stuck where you are.
But big changes can be overwhelming.
So, make gradual change:
• Break big goals into small steps
• Build an easy-to-follow plan
• Execute the steps daily
Embrace the process, and you'll make progress. -
🔷 Don't Focus On Things You Can't Control
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
It's impossible to control everything.
You have to let go of what you can't control.
Instead, focus on what you can influence and how you respond to circumstances. -
🔷 Don't Worry About Pleasing Everyone
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
People pleasers get taken advantage of.
They focus on others' needs ahead of their own.
Know that it's not your job to make everyone happy.
If someone asks something of you, take your time in responding -- this makes it easier to say no. -
🔷 Don't Fear Taking Calculated Risks
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Many people are afraid of risk and fear worst-case scenarios.
Instead, create a complete picture of risks and benefits.
Ask what's the worst and the best that can happen.
Adjust the risk. It's not all or nothing -- there's a middle way. -
🔷 Don't Resent Other People's Success
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Resentment of others sours your mood and is a sign of your own insecurities.
Define your own success and instead of competing, shift to collaborating.
If a friend is successful, try to learn and get help from them. -
🔷 Don't Avoid Being Alone
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Full calendars and being busy makes it hard to turn off your thoughts and rest.
Schedule alone time to journal and meditate (or go for a run).
Self-reflection promotes a sense of peace. -
🔷 Don't Expect Immediate Results
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Expecting immediate results leads to disappointment.
Instead, create realistic expectations.
Deadlines need some flexibility.
Practice perseverance. Abstain from instant gratification, but celebrate milestones and goals achieved. -
🔷 Don't Feel Like The World Owes You Something
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Become aware of your sense of entitlement.
Instead, be humble.
Know that you're not perfect and have weaknesses.
Don't dismiss critical feedback.
The more you feel you deserve something, the less likely you'll work to earn it. -
🔷 Don't Give Up After Failure
— Jeremy Singh (@singhcredible) June 1, 2023
Remember every failure is a learning opportunity and brings you one step closer to success.
Being your own worst critic results in quitting because you believe that you're not good enough.
Be kind to yourself. -
