1/ The environmental cost of blockchain technology has long been touted as a problem in need of a solution.

However, with Cosmos POS chains, the computational power required to process blocks has drastically improved compared to POW blockchains.

2/ Based on data provided by @regen_network, Osmosis is projected to emit up to 5,100 tons per year of carbon which negatively affects our climate.

3/ What is a Nature Carbon Ton Token (NCT)?

NCT is a novel carbon token within the Cosmos ecosystem. It is 1:1 backed by carbon credits originally provided by @VerraStandards.
