8 months ago, we made our first bag of MASA chips.

It didn't happen by accident.
I prototyped MASA at home and found a recipe I knew would change the face of the snacking industry.
But as we started talking with food manufacturers, I realized: -
None of them would be able to meet our standards for ingredient quality.

We would have had to cut corners.
Unacceptable.
We decided to make MASA ourselves.
I had no idea how people would react at first... -
Was replacing cheap seed oils with nutrient-dense tallow in snack foods a dream only I cared about?

As it turns out, people did care.
People like you, who want to feed their bodies the right way.

We were able to move out of our initial tiny kitchen (shipping boxes out of my parents garage)...

Into a bigger facility with more space, better equipment, and employees cooking MASA 5 days a week.
We make the rules. We answer to no one but the customer. -
If we want to use grass fed tallow, we use grass fed tallow.

If we want to replace the plastic parts in our fryer with stainless steel, we do it.
And if we want to make new flavors, we'll use the best natural spices from around the world.
Prepared by hand if necessary.
Why? -
Because there's no way I will let any artificial ingredient ever enter a MASA chip.

And this hasn't been without challenges.
In fact, we've had so much demand, it's been hard to keep up lately.
We have all hands on deck cooking every day.
But as orders keep coming in... -
It's been taking too long to make enough MASA to send out.

To make matters worse, we failed to communicate this hiccup early enough and take steps to address it.
Making MASA ourselves has allowed us to make a product I'm super proud of.
But that's not good enough. -
We want to sell the best chips out there...

While ALSO ensuring the ordering and shipping experience is top-notch.
So here's how we're handling inventory issues moving forward: -
1. If the lead times grow to more than a few days, MASA will go out of stock online, and will remain that way until we ship out older orders

2. We will make it very clear when ordering how long you should expect to wait before your box ships -
3. If anything changes, we'll send out email updates

4. We're getting new kitchen equipment and hiring more people to keep up with orders.
I can't promise it will all be a smooth ride. We're out to bring quality back to the packaged food industry.
