The LGBT youth law that just passed in Kentucky is far more restrictive than Florida’s so-called Don’t Say Gay law, as it forbids any lessons on homosexuality or trans gender identity in *any* grade.

Florida’s law, by contrast, forbids discussion of gender identity or sexual orientation in younger grades and then says they must be “age appropriate” in higher grades—a distinction critics say is purposely vague so as to create a chilling effect.
