If you zoom in where I’m pointing you’ll see the top floor of a little blue house that can only be seen from my house in the winter when there’s no leaves on the trees. Just wanted to vent about this noisy hypocrite of a self-perjuring neighbour. pic.twitter.com/UkMJSPeW1x

It’s been a nearly two year process for me to try to get a permit to build an admittedly large barn in the back of my place behind the tree line on the right and also down hill about 24ft - 27ft in elevation from my house. After finally get approvals ended with last day appeal

In the appeal they claimed many false things which were easily corrected. But even still I had to sit through an approximately 6hrs tribunal process where they shockingly choose to obfuscate truth, exaggerate and likely commit perjury in the mines of most rational peoples view

They claimed concern for the local hiking and biking community and suggested that my place will be high traffic because I want a pickleball court in my barn.

But they actually admitted during my cross that they’ve complained numerous times about the locals that park close by -
Surprisingly the spouse made statements that they were unaware if the other spouse ever made a complaint when first asked. But these people have been so rude to local bike clubs that they asked me to use my property to park and enjoy year end cele’s over the years

Cause they are sick of the ‘complaining neighbour harassing them’. I happily obliged. These people claim to I’m not a resident of my property and they use there’s 70% of the time. But when I prob that they admitted that it was actually 70% of weekends and some holidays.
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
And trust me 70% of weekends is a lie. The icing on the cake was when they argued that they can ‘get a pretty good view your house from our place’ characterizing the view they have that way is again more than a white lie it’s a fabrication and full blown bullshit.
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
If they actually mean that they can get a pretty good view it actually creeps me out cause I can’t help picturing them spying on my from that window with a telescope.
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
But to suggest that they will get a good view of the barn as well is again a lie. They know it. Rational people know it. And it’s perjury. (They took an oath as did I) fact is I’m not even in a rush to build. I’ve been debating this project for years.

In part cause I think my hockey barn should go to family that’s gonna use it much more than I so I listed it. But even though I will eventual get approvals I’m just disgusted with people like this. Who buy a vacation home for limited use and contribute nothing but complaints

I’ve been a big supporter of charities and many community organizations offering free use of my rink and even hosting fundraisers and special events in my home. But they actually tried to argue that my 3-5 max events per year deem my principle residence as commercial
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
I’m find to waste a day debating people that simply are clueless about what makes a property comercial vs residential. But these callus self-centered people actually tried to argue that I shouldn’t be allowed to give free use of my place to charity!

Offering up a weekend retreat at my place with use of the hockey barn is a big ticket auction item every time I’ve offered up. I happy to see my place used and enjoyed when I’m away and I’ve even kept it informal to raise max dollars for the charity…
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
I’ve often offered.. who ever makes the biggest donation at this charity event (and they receive the tax deduction) will receive a gift of the use of my place. It’s a great auction item and I get zero revenue or tax benefit when I’ve done this.
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
But unbelievably these neighbours argued that I should be allowed to do this. The level of depravity of these people astounds me. I just can’t imagine that someone who likely only uses their place around half the weekends of the year or less would want to do this?
— Kevin Bambrough (@BambroughKevin) March 18, 2023 -
I’ve raised/donated huge dollars over the years holding charity fundraisers. Funds gonna to Big Brothers Big Sisters, two local hospitals, hospice, boys and girls hockey and rugby associations. Also don’t special events with it local police, firefighters, & teachers.

Anyhow.. for those that know the area and possibly have encounters with these people. Beware, record your interactions with them if they get hostile because they seem to be the type the lies easily and often even under oath.

Life is so short. Gonna just leave this here but the world would be a better place if tribunal judges actually used judgement and called out perjury when it’s obvious and simply dismissed appeals where people choose to lie under oath

To be clear it’s not the house that we can see direct. It’s the little window on the other side of the two tree lines. ‘We can get a pretty good view of your house from ours’… creepy ffs
